Hang Zhou Day 2

Woke late today. didnt mean for it. anyways, ran out of rooms so i had to go to a 4 bed bunk, which i realised at nite that the other 3 occupants were females. paiseh like fuck can.

Went strolling the west lake 1st. its awesome. but its raining. its fucked up. been raining the past few days and its getting on my nerves. cant see much, cant shoot much cant do much. fucked up. The west lake is truely scenic with scatters of little gardens around. Because its gardens and lakes, couples were every-fucking-where. you see them all over squeezed under their teeny weeny umbrella (when the umbrella is really not required at all, is fucking small rain) and walking their dainty steps and getting in their god father, MY fucking path. West Lake is much better without them. fucking reminds me of my loneliness and homesickness. West Lake pic all the way below.

I got over that wheni met my idol, Yue Fei. His temple/tomb is there, his hometown after all.
Its really amazing to see that hes being worshiped and respect after so long.
btw, or those who dunno, Yue Fei is a major character during the Song dynasty. The Jins were pressing hard on the country and Yue Fei (awesome childhood too) rose to the challenge. His mom tattooed on his back Jin Zhong Bao Guo (along the lines of doing my duty to my country). He became the top general (among 3 main ones) and pushed the jins back time and again. Sadly the nasty prime minister is with the Jins and managed to malign him, ending in Yue Fei being recalled and jailed and subsequently executed along with his son. 20 years later the new Emperor moved him back to his home town and gave him a grand burial. at the tomb, there's a statue of the Qin Hui (the evil prime minister), kneeling down in shame. They used to let tourist spit on him (that was my plan initially) but now they dun allow it anymore. fucked up. The 1 time i approve of the chinese spitting, they gotta ban it. fucked up.

S0 I got on a cab to the old shopping street, and the cabby was asking why im alone. wtf right. he just gotta remind me. says im like missing a liver without a partner at West Lake. that im a poor soul. fucked up. street was nuthing much, only touristy knick knacks, i ate some nice noodles after which i saw this huge screen at some building showing an old chinese cartoon called The Calabash Brothers. AWESOME! any one knows where i can get the series, please tell me.

After the street, i went to the Lei Feng Ta (Thunder peak pagoda), which over looks the west lake, near my hostel. theres a story behind this too, White Snake (Legend of the White Snake) was imprisoned under the pagoda for some time. theres a saying behind this too. but fuck it, this post's too long, curious come ask me.

btw, my last nite at kunming i was attacked by mozzies so i had to wear my jacket at nite. but im wrong. i tink is some kinda bed bugs, ive got itchy spots all over now. fucked up.
