Hang Zhou

my flights at 3pm, so in the morning i cant do much. lazed at the hostel and tried catch up more on the previous posts. ran thru the huang long and jiu zhai gou pics, gonna take awhile man, too many. i mean MANY. anyways, when i reached Hang zhou, im shocked. this place is totally developed. i see highways, bright lights everywhere, proper roads, high rise buildings, and honestly i was taken aback. anyways, it cost 100rmb to get to the lake, very ex.

When i got to my hostel, they told me i onlny have my bed for 1 nite cuz next nite is booked. wtf. super sian now. tml gotta go hunt for another one. anyway, dropped my bag and went out look around and for food. very developed place. i had power food. its in the pic.

The left most is Yu Xiang Qie Zi (brinjal)
ordered this cuz is cheap and i liek.

the 2nd from left is La Zi Ji (Dried Chilly Chicken)
i though i can get some spice, but im wrong.

The soup thing is Song Sao Yu Geng (Song sister in law fish soup)
The story goes like there was this scholar studying for imperial exams, and his sister in law makes this dish for him everyday. after he left for the exams and came back an official, his sister in law cant be found. so he went everywhere tasting this dish until he came across the version his sis in law made and there when they reunited.

The small thing beside my rice is Dong Po Rou (Dong Po Pork)
the story goes like Su Dong Po was a well like magistrate. everyone loves him so much they made a dish and named it after him. but the villians used this to topple him. they told the emperor the people hate him so much they wanna eat him and made him a dish. the emperor being an emperor, belived it and thus dongpo's downfall.
