Shanghai day 2

Woke late today. the bed was superrrr comfy!!!
did many places today, tho abit bad luck. I went to the famous 1931 at mao ming st in the french concession but its not open yet. then i went look for the Chinese Propaganda art center, which i cant find. i was at the location lonely planet said but its not there. wasted a lot of time , damn dissppointed with lonely planet now.

Made my way to Taikang street, its a collective of artsy stuff as well, and boy was it cool. the pics i shot does not do it justice, its a labyrinth of little alleys of old buildings. every turn u see something nice or a chill out cafe. very pretty.

Next stop is 50 Moganshan, another industrial park turned arts collective, like the 728 arts dictrict in shanghai. i simply love the setup of such places, there like tonns of galleries there, from visual to music. but theres no interactive. why? abit dissappointed that interactive is not picking up as fast.

this is a nice one, there different voice from each speaker. creates a bz, noisy bg. im sure what the voices say have somethign in common and makes a story of sorts. but i cant be bothered.

Off to Jinmao tower. Its the tallest building at 88 floors. ( ok, it was, a new one right beside it is 90 floors high.) Theres an observation deck on the top floor, 50rmb to get in. i did not go. I went to a bar at the 87th floor instead, its called Cloud 9 bar . it belongs to hyatt, which runs the hotel from the 50+ floor up to the 57th floor. Because its hyatt, the service is impeccable. From the moment i enter the building, changed 2 lifts (took 3 in total), and got to my seat, i was greeted by smiles and proper service like asking me where i wanna go before i even start searching and guiding me and getting the lift etc. best. i spent almost 200 rmb there, 1 drink and some chicken wings. thats dinner. ex, but i paying for top srvice.


On my way back, i went took the tourist sightseeing tunnel to get to puxi (west),(im in pudong(east)). along the way they have 2 exhibitinos bundled with the ticket, 1 is for some fish thing another is an old skool sex museum showing exhibits from the old dynasties. its hilarious i tell u. The tunnel itself! omfg. wierd! its like a journey thru neon lights. but i personally find it quite interesting. if u ever take it, just dun think or expect too much, just treat it as simply a trip thru the underpass and the lights just for show. wun get too surprised this way.

i have no friggin idea what this dude is. its wierrrd. and i swear it swimming.

the cabs in shanghai btw, have little screens on the back of the front passenger seats. like what we have i sg, they are interactive. but i must admit the quality here is way better. the usabilty and interface design is way better than in sg. has videos too. very well done.
