Beijing Day 3

Went to the 798 Art district today.
IS FUCKING AWESOME.

It used to be an industrial area which didnt do well, so artist flocked in to rent the area cheap and also away from the buzz of city life to create art. There are loadsa gallerys in there and are all freaking awesome. becasue of these artists, this place florished and rents went up. tsk tsk, vicious cycle.

Anyway, theres this cafe there, forgot what its called, but it gives a very nice view of the area, as i was sitting on the 2nd floor alfresco area. Its autumn, everything is brownish yellowish orangy. the sun is hiding behind the clouds and peeking out once in a while. The gentle breeze whispers and occasionally sighs. everything is quite and peaceful with everyone minding their own business. My cafe latte exudes a soft aroma and streaks of steam rises gently from it. omg. i love that place.

View from the cafe. click for large.

Hung around there for quite a while, then left to meet sis's friend working here. She recommended us some cool places for dinner so off we went. theres this food street where is all red lanterns and bbq stuff. awesome food again.

Sis is flying off tomorrow, so tml onwards im all alone! bravo!
