Went to ChangDeokGung palace today. frankly, by now I've had pretty much enough of palaces... this one's got a Secret Garden hehe niceeeeee.
The palace is very near to my lodging as as well SamCheongDong which i hit next. Sam cheong dong reminds me of Tokyo's ometosando. nice unique interesting pretty shops line both sides. selling many curios and little whatchamacallsit items. in all, today i visited 3 toy museums, from super old skool toys to western figurines. no interesting Gundams tho. disappointment.
Next stop was Lotte shopping malls and Myeong dong street/road(s). Lotte is like some huge mall, nothing too interesting. apparent there's a Lotte everything, department malls to casinos to amusement parks. Now, Myeong Dong is different, its right across the malls and its like a cluster of buildings, very very similiar to Tokyo's Shinjuku. And its even rowdier. kinda like a cross between Shinjuku + Taiwan's Shihlin night market. i like it.
Seoul seem to have something against me traveling alone. museums don't let me but single ticket. restaurants dont let me order single portions. some travel packages dont let me do single orders. This shit is really getting on my nerves. unfair pieces of fart, whats so good about having partners or buddies! pui. the lone super ranger don't need no company. humph.
Anyway after that, it was late, i went to find lodging for the next night. where im staying now, its interesting, but way too uncomfortable and ex. and guess what, i was walking in the dark in the alleys and it rained. my 1st rain is like months! but bad timing. sux. anyway, i checked a total of 5 guesthouse before i found a room. never thought i'd have problems. i'll be moving in tomorrow.
These tablets are on the floor in the palace right after the main entrance. they mark where what ranking officials shoud stand. niceee.
